The circulation of electric scooters under this experimental project is allowed only in urban areas and more specifically, in the city areas better identified in the attached plan which will be confirmed by a special Executive Order prior to the start of the service.

The transit of scooters is guaranteed on all bicycle lanes, bicycle paths and bicycle lanes, within all roads inside the 30 zones, and on urban roads with speed limit less than or equal to 50 km/h, except those marked in the list in this paragraph. The electric scooters in this sharing service shall be equipped with a device capable of regulating the speed in the different areas where they are allowed to circulate, so as not to exceed the maximum permitted speed of 20 km/h (reduced to 6 km/h in pedestrian areas where bicycles are allowed).

Instead, transit is prohibited on the following sections of the road network within the territory of the Municipality of Venice:

  • along the vehicular lanes of the bypass, on the ramps, traffic circles and entrance and exit interchanges of the bypass itself;
  • along the airport access slip road and along the section of Via Triestina between the Marco Polo Airport access traffic circle and the municipal boundary;
  • Along the airport access roadway;
  • along Via Triestina, in the section without a bike lane between the Favaro and Tessera towns;
  • along Asseggiano Street, in the section without a bike lane between the Gazzera settlement and the municipal boundary;
  • along Orlanda Street, in the section lacking a bike lane between the town of Tessera and SR 14;
  • All along SR14;
  • Along SS14 in the section between Sr14 and SR11 (including the traffic circle in front of San Giuliano Park and the San Giuliano bridge)
  • along the Da Verrazzano Overpass, and then along SR245, from the traffic circle under the bypass ala traffic circle at Via Giussani;
  • Along the Arzeroni overpass to the connection with Paccagnella Street.
  • along the entire road system within the Porto Marghera area from and including Via dell’Elettricità to the lagoon;
  • along SS309 and SP24;
  • along the entire roadway between Brunacci Street, Avena Street, SR11, and SS309;
  • Along Trieste Street in the section of the railroad overpass;
  • within all of p.le Roma and all pedestrian spaces in Venice historic center;

It is forbidden to cross streetcar tracks on a scooter, while it is allowed by leading the device by hand and doing so only at crosswalks.
It is forbidden to ride under porticoes, on sidewalks, in Piazza Ferretto, in Venice historic center (including non-pedestrian islands), on Murazzi del Lido, on beaches, and in all pedestrian areas where bicycle transit is prohibited, while in pedestrian squares where bicycle transit is allowed, scooters may not exceed a speed of 6 km/h.
In parks, transit is allowed only along bicycle and pedestrian paths and device storage is prohibited where signage at the entrance indicates a nighttime closure of the area; in Albanese Park and St. Julian’s Park, storage is allowed only in specially dedicated areas.
It is forbidden to transport scooters on waterbuses, Ferryboats, buses, streetcars, and any kind of vehicles/boats (public and private).
The transit of scooters is prohibited within the stationary markets, weekly markets, shopping malls and sports facilities (open or closed).
The transit and storage of scooters inside any public or private building is prohibited.
Use by children under the age of 14 is prohibited.
Use is permitted from 14 to 18 years of age, but in this case users must have a helmet and AMI license (the one for mopeds); however, any disciplinary rules, more restrictive, adopted by the private operator and indicated in the regulations provided to the user when registering for the service are subject to this.
It is forbidden to use and circulate the devices in all situations that may partially compromise the safety of service users (e.g., adverse weather conditions) and/or third parties, and the operator is required to temporarily suspend the service when such situations occur, giving timely notice to the municipal administration and users.

The parking of electric sharing scooters under this experimental project is allowed exclusively within the Mestre Centro operational area and in the punctual areas identified as dedicated parking stalls (as detailed in the attached plan), with the obligation on the part of the operator to provide a system of tariffs that incentivizes the user to end the ride in one of said stalls, thus promoting the most orderly use of the service.

The transit and storage of scooters within Ferretto Square and along all calli and pedestrian areas adjacent to the square is prohibited. The City Administration may also identify, within the operating area, areas of architectural merit where the parking and storage of scooters may not be allowed in any case, and it will be the care and responsibility of the operator to implement appropriate measures to comply with the prohibition, with recovery and movement of the scooters.

The transit of scooters is prohibited along all sidewalks of the mainland road network and along the entire road network of the Laguna’s driveway islands, while parking on the sidewalks of the operational area will be allowed only if the vehicle is properly positioned with its stand and in such a way that it does not impede pedestrian paths, that is, it must always take place in such a way that it does not reduce the sidewalk space usable by transiting pedestrians below the measurement of 1.2 meters.
