Is it mandatory to wear a helmet when riding the scooter?

Starting on 12/14/24, with the entry into force of the new highway code, it will be mandatory to wear a helmet in order to use BIT. Any penalties will be borne by the user, who is solely responsible for not wearing a helmet. We therefore recommend that you obtain a suitable protective helmet (a normal bicycle helmet certified according to UNI EN 1078) before renting a scooter.
