From June 10, 2022 to September 30, 2022, from 8:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next day on weekdays and holidays:

The prohibition of transit to all vehicles, with the exception of emergency vehicles, law enforcement, driveway holders, those serving the disabled, the electric micro-mobility (scooters and velocipedes) and residents of the areas affected by the closure to vehicular transit vehicle owners, who, will be authorized by pass issued by the Traffic Office, who must proceed at walking pace. The establishment of a ban on parking for all vehicles with removal of those found parked, from 20:30 to 02:00 on weekdays and holidays, except for emergency vehicles, law enforcement vehicles and those serving the disabled and residents of the areas affected by this measure, on the following streets in the city center: on the stretch of Corso Roma between Via Conserva and Piazza del Popolo and on Corso Garibaldi, Piazza Matteotti, Via Santi, Via Casimiro, Via Palma, Largo della Concordia, Via Duomo, Vico Seminario, Via Dè Muscettola, Via San Nicolicchio, Via Assennato, Via dei de Balzo, vico Tarantafilo, via Colonne ,piazza Dante, via Tarantini, piazza della Zecca, piazza Duomo, via Montenegro, via De Leo, Vico De Dominicis, Vico De Moricino, piazza Santa Teresa (excluding the section between via Ercole Brindisino and via Dè Vavotici), via Santa Teresa.

On the existing parking lots on Corso Garibaldi, parking is allowed subject to payment with a charge of €1.00 the first hour and €2.00/hour for subsequent hours valid from 08:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Saturday, excluding holidays, passes for residents and domiciled persons and all subscriptions provided for in the Parking Plan approved by Special Commissioner Resolution No. 32 of 31-01-2018 are not valid.

On Cairoli Square, the ban on stopping is lifted except for the existing ban on the road section between Via A. Cappellini and Corso Umberto (direction Station
Railway) open to all vehicular traffic, establishing parking parallel to the right-hand side direction upon payment with a charge of €1.00/h or fraction thereof from 08:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Saturday, excluding holidays, resident and domiciled passes and all subscriptions provided for in the Parking Plan approved by Special Commissioner Resolution No. 32 of 31-01-2018 are valid.

Vehicles traveling on Via Lata, upon reaching the intersection with Via Fratti, will be required to turn right in the direction of the latter and continue on Via del Mare, excluding residents of the area between Via Lata and Corso Garibaldi.

Parking areas are established inside the “Salvemini” school square from 18:00 to 03:00 hours every day during the period June 10, 2022 to September 30, 2022, in addition to those already established and accessible at all hours of the day on the Lenio Flacco square, the square on Split Street, the square on Dalmatia Street and the parking lot of the “CONAD” supermarket.

to Brindisi Multiservizi S.r.l. for the purpose of the installation of the signage system, which shall be in compliance with the Highway Code and maintained in perfect functional condition at all times, the aforesaid Company remaining solely liable, both in civil and criminal proceedings, for damages caused to third parties and to property that depend on the defect or inefficiency of the signage, remaining the Municipality and all its personnel relieved and indemnified as well as, in addition, in order to provide for the installation of information signs and prohibitions on the aforementioned stretches to be placed on the instructions of the technicians of the Traffic Office, as well as the removal of vehicles and the arrangement for the fencing at the entrances of the areas interdicted to traffic;


That, this Ordinance:
enter into force on the day of the installation of the relevant signage and made known by publication on the Official Register of the institutional website of the Municipality of Brindisi; transmitted to the Local Police and any other Public Force in charge of enforcing the per provvedimento de quo.
– To the Local Police Command for the indication of the placement of barriers and the delimitation of the areas interdicted to vehicular transit shown in this ordinance;
– To the director of the LL.PP sector. – Transportation for the issuance of passes to residents who are vehicle owners in the areas interdicted to vehicular transit shown in this ordinance, which will be issued starting June 10, 2022;
– to the Brindisi Public Transportation Company S.p.A. for the consequential actions within its competence aimed at the regular execution of this Ordinance.


– That any violators will be prosecuted in accordance with the relevant regulations in force.
AGAINST this measure, an appeal to the Regional Administrative Court within 60 days or alternatively Extraordinary Appeal to the Head of State within 120 days, both starting from the date of notification or communication of the act or from the knowledge of the same, is allowed


As of the date of publication on the Official Gazette of this Ordinance, for the reasons specified in the preamble, which are hereby deemed to be fully reported and confirmed, the adoption:
– of all the measures stipulated in the new “Regulations for the Access and Circulation of Vehicles in the Restricted Traffic Zones of the City Center” approved by City Council Resolution No. 92 dated 07/30/2020, attached hereto and forming an integral part hereof;
– Of everything contained in City Council Resolutions no. 376 of 15.12.2020 and no. 14 of 21.01.2021.
Until April 30, 2021, all holders of valid permits that expire after the aforementioned deadline will be able to renew them according to the procedures contained in the new regulation having met the requirements. Otherwise from May 1, 2021, the old permits will lapse.
Confirmation of the Limited Traffic Zone of the Historic Center of the city of Lecce called “Z.T.L. CENTER HISTORIC,” including the squares and streets located within the perimeter formed by the following streets: via XXV luglio, viale Marconi, viale Lo Re, via Duca degli Abruzzi, viale Gallipoli, via Adua, via Manifattura dei Tabacchi, piazza Arco di Trionfo, via Calasso, viale De Pietro, according to the attached technical elaboration.
The confirmation of the H24 and 7-day-a-week validity of the existing permanent ZTL.
The confirmation of the existing Pedestrian Areas within the perimeter of the “Z.T.L. HISTORIC CENTER.”
The implementation as of May 1, 2021, of the following time slots of free vehicular access to the variable ZTL for transit from the electronic gates and along some main arterial roads in the historic center:
– 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. every weekday;
– during Sundays and holidays starting from 7 p.m. of the previous day and until 10 a.m. of the following day, all unauthorized people are not allowed to enter the L.T.Z;
The implementation as of May 1, 2021 of the following access hours to the L.T.Z. for the following OCC (occasional access) type permits under Art. 15:
– for exceptional and/or urgent needs, the leave will be 24 hours (from 00.00 to 24.00 of the same day);
– for set-ups-organizations of authorized demonstrations and events, the permit will be equal to 24 hours (from 00.00 to 24.00 of the same day);
– For weddings to be held within the L.T.Z., the duration of the permit will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
– For the accompaniment of pupils of schools located in the L.T.Z., on school calendar days, the allowable time slot for those who should request it will be from 07.30 to 09.00 and from 12.00 to 14.00.
The updating by April 30, 2021, of access signs to the L.T.Z. by affixing the new entry times mentioned in the previous point;
the implementation as of the date of publication on the Official Bulletin Board of this Ordinance, of the list of fees attached to this act, for the issuance of permits for access, circulation and parking in the Limited Traffic Zones (Z.T.L.) and Pedestrian Areas (P.A.) of the municipality of Lecce;
That the maximum duration of authorizations for the different categories of eligible persons be two years as stipulated in M.G.D. no. 376 of 15.12.2020 and no. 14 of 21.01.2021;
as of May 1, 2021, the modification of the hours of paid parking on the stalls within the Z.T.L. of the Old Town as follows:
– 10:00 am to 12:30 pm;
– 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m;
the institution throughout the Historic Center area of the “30 Zone” and widespread cycling area, with speed limit set at 30 km/h and establishment of “one-way except bike directions” meaning one-way streets for motor vehicles that can be traveled in both directions by bicycles;
which all Civil Defense vehicles may transit and stop within the L.T.Z. and A.P. throughout the day for service needs, until April 30, 2021, the date of the termination of the state of emergency for COVID, it being understood that these vehicles must bear the logos of the Association to which they belong and must be registered to a person in charge of the same;
the publication of this ordinance and all attached documents, on the website of the Municipality of Lecce in the Mobility and Transportation section, in order to give due notice to all citizens and provide the rules and printouts to be used when applying for new permits or confirming those already in force.

Discipline of this ordinance will be publicized through the activation of the prescribed road signs and made legally operative through publication on the Municipality of Lecce’s Praetorian Register. Violators of the dictates of this ordinance will be punished according to law. The supervisory bodies, referred to in Article 12 of the New Highway Code, each within the scope of its competence, are charged with the verification of compliance with this ordinance and with the possible consequent application of the relevant sanctions. Pursuant to art., 3, u. c., of Law 241/1990 and, notice is hereby given that, against this act, an appeal may be filed, alternatively, to the competent TAR, pursuant to Law 1034/1971 and subsequent amendments, or to the President of the Republic, pursuant to art. 8 of Presidential Decree no. 1199 of November 24, 1971, within 60 (sixty) days and within 120 (one hundred and twenty) days, respectively, from the date of publication of the ordinance.
Pursuant to Art. 37, paragraph 3, of the New C.d.S. (Legislative Decree No. 285 of 30/04/1992) and Art. 74 of the relevant Execution and Implementation Regulations (Presidential Decree No. 495 of 16/12/1992) within 60 (sixty) days of the adoption of the measure authorizing the placement of the signs, an appeal to the Ministry of Transportation is allowed.
In accordance with Art. 8 of Law 241/1990, it is hereby announced that the person in charge of the procedure is the Manager of the Mobility Sector of the Municipality of Lecce, Arch. Fernando Dr. BONOCUORE.
The regulations of this measure repeal all provisions contained in similar, previous ordinances that are inconsistent or incompatible with them.
